Our Mission
Cytofit’s design is being built on four core principles: Integration, automation, analysis and visualisation. Improving these four aspects will allow stronger collaborations between clinical laboratories, industry, healthcare professionals and researchers.
Integration
Cytofit will be a unified framework to store, preprocess, analyse and visualise the data. This integrated pipeline accounts for the needs of the different specialists involved at the various stages of mass cytometry data processing. The streamlining of the workflow in turn improves the information flow between all experts and institutions involved.
Automation
Cytofit will automate repetitive tasks and minimise subjective user input. By standardising the data processing workflow, our tool will provide users with robust results comparable across different datasets and scientific publications. Therefore, we will increase the comparability of mass cytometry data and allow for more impactful conclusions to be drawn.
Analysis
Cytofit will include a range of adjustable analysis models from basic linear regressions to advanced statistical models. Such analysis models are used for biomarker discovery and to provide increased insights on patients’ responses to treatments. The analysis features will have an intuitive and transparent interface so non-experts can interpret the output.
Visualization
Cytofit will generate high-quality visualisations. These will include interactive figures that enable intuitive data exploration, helping detect hidden, clinically relevant correlations within and between experiments. We will leverage dimensionality reduction algorithms to visualise the mass cytometry data. This functionality will be built with a user-friendly interface with an intuitive user guide.
